Why We Recommend Working Out 4–5 Days Per Week at Outsiders CrossFit

One of the most common questions we hear from new members is: “How many days a week should I be coming?” Our answer? More days than not! While 3 days a week is a good start, to truly see the results CrossFit can deliver, we recommend coming to the gym 4–5 times per week. Enough to make it a habit rather than an exception.

Here’s why:

Consistency Is Key

Fitness is like any other pursuit in life. It requires commitment and consistency to see real progress. While coming 3 days a week is better than none, our athletes who attend 4–5 times a week consistently see better and faster results. If you want to reap the full benefits of CrossFit, you need to prioritize showing up regularly.

Our Programming Does the Work for You

In CrossFit, we embrace the idea that routine is the enemy when it comes to the type of training we do but not the frequency. Our programming is designed to optimize your fitness across days, weeks, and months. Unlike traditional globo gym workouts (chest/triceps one day, back/biceps the next, shoulders, skip legs), our constantly varied programming ensures that you can show up any day of the week without worrying about overtraining a specific muscle group. We’ll handle the programming and your only job is to show up.

An Hour a Day Is All It Takes

CrossFit workouts are intentionally designed to be effective and efficient. In just one hour, you’ll warm up, work out, and cool down—leaving you with plenty of time to tackle the rest of your day. Gone are the days of spending countless hours on the treadmill or elliptical. All we’re asking is one hour, 4–5 times a week.

Should I Still Come If…?

  • You’re sore? YES. Movement helps recovery. Our workouts are scalable, and our coaches are here to modify movements to meet you where you’re at.
  • You’re tired? YES. Even on low-energy days, showing up is better than skipping. Trust us—you’ll feel better afterward.

Consistency builds momentum, and even on tough days, getting to the gym can make all the difference.
