“Movement is medicine” is a term that really rings true for me. I have always found happiness in staying active and knew I wanted my career to be reflective of that. I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2015 and have been blessed to help many patients take control of their physical ailments through exercise.
After toying with the idea for a few years, I officially started CrossFit in 2020. I was astounded by the high quality of coaching I received at Outsiders and loved how applicable the lessons I was learning were to everyday life. We all need to be able to lift, carry, pull, press, and get on and off the ground. And I loved learning new skills as well! I was hooked and couldn’t stop talking about CrossFit to anyone who showed the slightest interest. My poor patients had to listen to me go on and on. I began using a lot of what I was learning in the gym within my practice with my patients and they really seemed to enjoy it too!
Not long after joining Outsiders, my husband and I opened our own physical therapy practice within Outsiders’ doors. I received my CF-L1 in 2022 and began coaching soon after. I am driven by my mistakes in my quest in becoming a better coach in each class. But I really enjoy helping people move better and try to throw some physical therapy gems into my classes whenever I can.
