CARA CLEMENTS

I walked into Outsiders CrossFit over 10 years ago and never looked back. Always an athlete, the spirit of CrossFit as a sport, combined with the community, had me hooked in the 10 classes that were included in my Groupon!

I was a member for about four years before I made the decision to get my CrossFit Level 1 certificate and begin coaching. During those first four years, I was able to compete often and even joined my Outsiders team at the Mid-Atlantic regionals in 2014. While my competition days are (mostly) over, one of the things that I love the most about CrossFit is the constant competition with myself – and a few other members. It keeps me excited and engaged in our community, while still being able to coach our athletes, and hopefully inspire them, here and there!

I recently began coaching our Thrive program and am excited for this new opportunity to meet new members and also learn so many new movements that can help keep us all fit!

Prior to joining Outsiders I was a spin instructor for several years, so in many ways, all of my adult life I have loved coaching and leading people through their fitness journey. It has become one of my favorite things to do and I am grateful that I have the opportunity to pursue this passion at Outsiders.

Outside of the gym, you can usually find me hanging with my doberman, Portia, who may live a better life than any of us! I also work full time at PwC and am very fortunate that they allow me the opportunity to pursue my dreams outside of the office.
